An emission-free maritime sector is possible. SWIM wants to show this with the first water taxi that runs on hydrogen. The sustainable water taxi was developed by a consortium of various innovative companies, including Enviu BV. This company has been a customer of SubsidyCloud since 2017 and has several successful innovations to its name. The consortium developed a maritime fuel cell system and an on-board hydrogen storage system, allowing the taxi to run on hydrogen.
The development of the SWIM project has been made possible thanks to the Innovations Sustainable Inland Shipping subsidy that was applied for by one of our subsidy experts. This subsidy is intended to make the inland shipping sector more sustainable in order to reduce the sector’s ecological footprint. In addition to this subsidy, there are many more subsidies available for the maritime sector.
